| the dox story |
| I received my first bullmastiff as a gift from a friend in 1971. He was a great family dog for myself, my husband and daughter. I had no idea that this little fawn puppy would engage my interest so completely. That was the start of what would become known the world over as DOX Bullmastiffs. DOX continues to be a family affair. I enjoy the involvement of my grandchildren in the dogs. Joey shows the dogs and his Sisters like to feed the puppies. It is important to me that DOX dogs are good family members. Our breeding program has always focused on soundness in mind and body while striving for excellence in performance. DOX dogs have won awards all over the world and have played an important role in many well know kennels. I have enjoyed working with many fine people in this breed AND MY BREEDING PROGRAM HAS BENEFITED FROM MY ASSOCIATION WITH THEM. Most notably Pam Kochuba of Shady Oak Kennels,Dr. ANITA MIGDAY AND DR. IRA KAPLAN OF OAKRIDGE BULLMASTIFFS, Pam McClintock of Shatrugo Kennels in Canada, MARY BARBARA WALSH AND VIRGINA ROWLAND OF BLACKSLATE BULLMASTIFFS, and of course MY DEAR FRIEND Barb Ellison of Burnham Bullmastiffs. DOX HAS PROVIDED THE FOUNDATION STOCK FOR STONERIDGE, TARTAN, VALTRIS, HIGHPOINT, WATERS AND PEERLESS BULLMASTIFFS. ADDITIONALLY, DOX HAS PLAYED A SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN THE BREEDING PROGRAMS OF LEATHERNECK, NOLAND, HAPPY LEGS AND BASTION BULLMASTIFFS. There are, TOO NUMEROUS TO MENTION, other BREEDERS, friends and family members that CONTRIBUTED SIGNIFICANTLY AND are A IMPORTANT part of the DOX story. + |
